There are 10 Divisions within Canada. Each division is overseen by a council which meets on a regular basis to insure the Division is working effectively within the National and International guidelines. The divisional presidents are members of the National Council. Each of the divisional councils also employ full time staff person(s) who work on delivering the program to the young people of the country. Participation rates in each of the Divisions varies.
Canada and The International Award Association (IAA)
Canada is committed to playing a role in helping to develop the Award internationally. Canada for many years was the North American representative on the International Council. As well, Canada has actively participated in international conferences including Forum 2000 in Cape Town, South Africa and the first ever conference of the Americas in Florida. At the Americas conference we presented a workshop on the success of our young offenders programme in Canada.
